4.Social Media Plug-Ins

The underlying commercial purpose is considered a legitimate interest within the scope of the GDPR.

The respective providers are responsible for ensuring data protection-compliant operations. We have integrated these plug-ins on our website using the two-click method to provide the best possible protection for our website visitors.

4.1 Facebook

Our website utilises social media plugins from Facebook to personalise the user experience, such as the "LIKE" or "SHARE" button. These are features provided by Facebook. When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook servers.

The plugin's content is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website.

By incorporating these plugins, Facebook receives information indicating that your browser has accessed the corresponding page on our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook.

This information, including your IP address, is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the US and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly associate your visit to our website with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, such as by clicking the "LIKE" or "SHARE" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there.

This information will be posted on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.
Facebook may use this information for advertising, market research, and customised Facebook pages. To achieve this, Facebook utilises user profiles, as well as interest and relationship profiles, to evaluate your website usage in relation to the advertisements displayed on Facebook.

They may also inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and provide other services related to Facebook usage.

We have integrated plugins from the short message network Twitter Inc. (Twitter) on our website. You can identify these plugins by the Twitter logo displayed on our site.

An overview of tweet buttons can be found here: (https://about.twitter.com/en/resources/buttons). When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter server. Twitter receives information about your visit to our site, including your IP address.

If you are logged in to your Twitter account and click on the Twitter "tweet button," you can link the content of our pages to your Twitter profile. This enables Twitter to associate your visit to our pages with your user account.

Please note that as the provider of the pages, we are not aware of the specific content of the transmitted data or how Twitter uses it.

If you do not want Twitter to associate your visit to our pages, please log out of your Twitter account.

If you click on the LinkedIn "Share-Button" (plugin) while logged into your LinkedIn user account, you will be redirected to a separate browser window displaying your user account and the publication from our website, along with any added comments.

The plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the LinkedIn server. LinkedIn receives information about your visit to our website, including your IP address.

Furthermore, LinkedIn can associate your visit to our website with you and your user account. We want to emphasize that we have no knowledge of the specific content or use of the transmitted personal data by LinkedIn.

This occurs regardless of whether you have a user account with YouTube or are logged in. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want your profile to be linked to YouTube, please log out before activating the video.

YouTube stores your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising, market research, and personalised design of its website. You can also use the same contact information to inquire about the safeguards we have in place to protect personal data or to request the restriction of data processing in relation to specific activities, either partially or entirely.

You have the right to withdraw any previously given consent at any time. This will result in us no longer processing your data based on that consent in the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

If we process your data based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing at any time due to reasons related to your specific situation.
